The Summit Canine Academy

Dog Walking, But More

The Academy isn't a traditional dog walking service.

While every dog still receives the physical exercise they need, each Academy Session is built around your dog's individual goals, helping them develop confidence, life skills and reliability in real-world environments.

Instead of simply burning energy, your dog is learning every step of the way.

Academy Sessions may include:

  • Loose lead walking

  • Recall development

  • Engagement and handler focus

  • Confidence building

  • Neutrality around distractions

  • Safe puppy socialisation and environmental exposure

  • Calm behaviour in public

  • Structured play

  • Enrichment

  • General life skills

No two Academy Sessions are the same. Every session is individually planned to support your dog's ongoing development.

More than a walk. Done with you training.

Your dog's training doesn't stop when your lesson ends.

Life gets busy. Between work, family and everyday commitments, it can be difficult to find the time to consistently reinforce the training you've worked so hard to achieve.

The Summit Canine Academy bridges that gap.

Designed for busy owners, the Academy combines trainer-led walking, structured enrichment and purposeful training to help your dog continue developing while you're at work.

Every Academy Session has a purpose.

Every dog has a plan.

Who Is The Academy For?

The Academy has been designed for owners who:

  • Work full-time or long hours

  • Have busy family schedules

  • Want more than a standard dog walking service

  • Want their dog's training to continue throughout the week

  • Have a puppy needing regular guidance and exposure

  • Have an adolescent dog needing consistency and structure

  • Want support maintaining previous training

  • Value trainer-led support and accountability

If you've ever wished there was something between private training and a standard dog walk, this is it.

How The Academy Works

Step One - Choose Your Membership

Select the membership that best suits your dog's goals and the level of support you're looking for.

Once your membership has been selected, we'll organise your onboarding session and reserve your Academy place.

Step Two - Complete Your Complimentary 90-Minute Assessment, Foundations & Goal Setting Session

Every Academy Membership begins with a comprehensive one-on-one session.

During this appointment we'll:

  • Get to know you and your dog

  • Discuss your goals

  • Assess your dog's current skills and behaviour

  • Teach or refresh key foundation concepts where required

  • Develop your personalised Academy Plan

  • Answer any questions about your membership

This session ensures every Academy dog begins their journey with a clear plan for success.

Step Three - Academy Sessions Begin

Your dog begins attending their scheduled Academy Sessions each week.

Every session is trainer-led and tailored to your dog's individual needs, allowing them to continue building confidence, life skills and reliability while you're at work.

Step Four - Stay Involved

Throughout your membership you'll receive:

  • Weekly progress recaps

  • Ongoing communication and support

  • Homework and recommendations where appropriate

Summit Members also receive a monthly 45-minute Coaching & Handover Session to review progress, refine goals and continue developing skills together.
